Metin2 is a Korean creation, developed by Webzen, which first took its first steps in 2004. Gameforge handled its entry into the American and European markets, where it remains active. Webzen and Gameforge have announced that a new expansion for Metin2, titled Conquerors of Yohara, will be released in September. This expansion will be free for the free-to-play MMO and promises a completely new continent, new high-level dungeons, new bosses (as usual), and a new conquest system that allows characters to level beyond 120. To best prepare all players for the new content, in-game events with XP boosts are already underway (starting on August 11th) and will continue for up to two weeks after the launch of Conquerors of Yohara. Obviously, the new content is intended for high-level players, which is related to the storyline, as the new continent is ruled by the Sung Mahi Empire, which is trying to expand its influence and naturally encounters players. In summary, the new features that Metin2: Conquerors of Yohara brings include: a new chapter in the main Metin2 story; the new continent of Yohara with multiple zones (Kain Castle, Empire Castle, Dong Gwang Plain, Guild zones, etc.); a new conquest system that allows players to improve character stats beyond level 120; new equipment slots and new Sung Mahi powers; new monsters, new bosses, and new loot; new high-level dungeons such as the Gnoll Caves and the Sung Mahi Tower; and new biology quests that can be completed repeatedly.
